PHASE II OF PLAYA JEFFERSON is an expansion of the existing facilities to add a new, distinctively designed parking structure as well as a new 3-story state-of-the-art creative office building. Both structures were designed by Gensler to exemplify state-of-the-art creative office design thinking, while also fitting in with the existing campus-wide industrial aesthetic. The office building features 14’ high ceilings, functional and well-appointed balcony space to allow for walk-up access to each tenant suite, abundant natural light, and an iconic cantilever fronting Jefferson Blvd. The parking structure was designed for simplicity of construction and yet also incorporates some effective design features such as a whimsical stair to add interest and improve user experience.

The parking structure construction was completed in April 2016, and the new office building parcel was sold fully permitted and shovel-ready along with the rest of the Playa Jefferson campus to Rockwood Capital Group in July 2016. The new office building is currently under construction.
